Basic Computer Training At Bhaktapur

The Basic Computer Training Program was started at Bhaktapur District in 2003, which is 13 Km far away from east of capital city, Kathmandu. The Bhaktapur is the smallest district also, among 75 districts of Nepal. In spite of being very near to capital city, the people from Bhaktapur are very poor in economic condition.

The project had the aim to produce 200 students with free of cost annually. Though the target place of the project is the people of Bhaktapur, it had educated the students from Banepa, Dhulikhel, Kavre, Hetauda, Ramechhap, Bara, Udayapur and other parts of the country also. The project continued for two and half years. The project produced 500 trainees-successfully with 261 free of cost and other with nominal fees. Now, most of them are involved in computer work in varies organizations as well as in own desktop publishing work.
